Welcome to the website of SAAA Chapter 34 Far North Queensland Chapter.
Chapter 34 is one of Australia's newest SAAA chapters, having only been in existence since mid 2009. Currently we have approximately 20 members. Some have completed aircraft projects, some have projects underway and some are in the planning stages of how best to go about getting a project.
The club is centred in Cairns, is affiliated with the North Queensland Aero Club and most members are also members of the NQAC. We have members from as far south as Tully Heads, as far north as Cape Flattery (past Cooktown,) and west onto the Atherton Tablelands.
The chapter meets usually on the first Friday of the month at the NQAC club house, General Aviation Side, Cairns International Airport. Bar is open from about 3.30 (though members mostly roll up from about 5.00 onwards) with meeting at 6.30. Some months we meet at members projects or homes.
